To the Ministry of the Environment,
As a member of the public, I would like to express my strong support for expanding the protection of natural lands across our province. I am encouraged to see the recent leadership shown in adding 12,000 hectares to provincial parks and conservation reserves. This is a meaningful step toward safeguarding biodiversity, strengthening climate resilience, and ensuring that our natural heritage remains intact.
Canada’s strength has always been deeply connected to its natural landscapes—our forests, wetlands, lakes, and wildlife are an irreplaceable part of who we are. Protecting more land today ensures that future generations will continue to benefit from healthy ecosystems, clean air and water, and the beauty of our shared environment.
I urge the Ministry to continue prioritizing environmental conservation and to expand protected areas even further. These decisions will have lasting positive impacts for communities, wildlife, and the climate.
