This is so foolhardy and destructive. The province should provide protective oversight for its population & not leave issues like the impact of public health on development to municipalities whim. Public consult is also paramount. Municipalities shouldn't be allowed to bypass their constituents. We need to have serious consults re urban development, protecting water sources, climate change, public health.
the development of the green belt will put at risk Ontarios drinking water, reduce our ability to grow food locally. The trees are necessary for oxygen. We r heading into devastating consequences from ignoring climate change.
We need more accountability not less.
This government of Ontario fired the environment commissioner and the chief scientist. There has been an email released that indicates this government is hesitant to use the word climate change.?
This government is trying to reduce monitoring of toxins referring them to this safety measure as Red tape.
You can't eat and breath money.
On behalf of my kids I Pray the Greenbelt will not be developed and that this government will fight against the devastation of climate change.
