It's great that the province is committed to expanding protected areas within the province, particularly in southern Ontario, as there is so much urban and other pressures in this area.
In particular, it is good to focus on wilderness reserves and wetland preservations as well as areas where people can enjoy recreational opportunities. We need to do more to protect from habitat degradation and loss for the many native species of Ontario.
