I’m supportive of the initiative to create and expand protected areas in Ontario.
I am a recreational hiker and skier and I like this specific proposal because it protects the lands I love to visit such as Kolapore, Loree Forest, Beaver Valley, Hogs Falls and Duncan Caves. Raising young kids in Grey County, I make intentional time to connect my children to the natural world. I spend time on trails daily to support my own mental and physical health and am grateful for the protected areas we already have. I fully support expansion and I would love to see more conservation happening in other areas along Georgian Bay and in Ontario broadly.
