I think it would be a travesty to allow Searchmont Ski Resort use the Goulais River as a dumping ground for their waste. I can't imagine the number of people, animals, fish and other wildlife that would be detrimentally affected by this action. This area is supposed to be a sanctuary for the endangered wood turtle and how is that supposed to be continued if there are chemicals and toxins dumped into the Goulais River that will travel the length of the river system and into Goulais Bay. Not only would the wildlife be in danger, but the human population would be as well. Who is going to let their children swim in a waste infested river, or who is going to go fishing and eat fish from the river? Recreational activities and enjoyment of the area will be ruined for generations to come. Don't let this happen!! Listen to the residents of the area and the keepers of nature.
