As a Mother to 3 children…

As a Mother to 3 children who attend Primrose Elementary school I am deeply concerned by the potential of the surrounding arena of Primrose Elementary being opened up to hunters. As someone who was born and raised in the country, around hunters, I know how far bullets can travel. I worked in vet medicine for 12 years and I’ll never forget the hunter who raced through the doors carrying his beloved hunting partner, his Labrador retrieve, who had accidentally been shot. The dog did not survive. This can easily happen to a child who is playing during school hours in the yard- the yard they should be safe in. We cannot and should not allow the surrounding area of Primrose school to become accessible to hunters for the most important reason- the safety of the children and staff. There is an abundance of land in Mulmer and surrounding townships. I am asking that anyone in the decision making process put themselves in a parent’s shoes. Thank you for your time.
