Within the proposed area are two well known and loved recreational rock climbing areas: The Swamp, and Metcalfe Rock. Both are well travelled and see climbers there every weekend of the climbing season.
Both are important to the Ontario rock climbing community. Please keep these climbing areas open and available to this community.
The Ontario Alliance of Climbers is a non-for-profit group that works with land managers and stakeholders to maintain and gain access for rock climbers in the province of Ontario.
Please reach out to them to work with them to maintain climbing access for all climbers.
