With the proposed removal of required pre-consultation and newspaper ads, it would be appreciated if the Ministry could to identify that although these processes are no longer required, they will be supported by the Ministry if the local SPA deems it an important way to communicate the changes with the community. Additionally, the Ministry should provide wording in the regulation that there will be appropriate funding provided to the SPAs that want to continue to do the pre-consultation and the newspaper ads.
