I have lived in Oakville…

I have lived in Oakville since 1987. I love this community. I am totally opposed to the TOC plan for Oakville for oh so many reasons. The density proposed is higher than any area in Hong Kong. Ridiculous. It just isn’t Oakville. We are mostly a family oriented community - not a hot spot for singles. The TOC is being designed for investor buyers - not providing much family accommodation. The plan doesn’t address schools, or green space. The plan depends on the town to fund and provide all of the infrastructure - so taxpayers have to support this financially? There is a lot of input from Oakvillians that was not even considered. We are not against density. Oakville has a plan to build up this Midtown area and to meet our population targets. I support the Oakville plan.
