I live in Hamilton. I have been an annual conservation authority pass holder since I moved here. I think this proposal is a huge mistake. If we lose local decision-making, we will lose local engagement. I'm less likely to donate to an organization with a broader mandate. Hamilton's conservation areas are very beautiful, well-maintained, and well-used by myself and my neighbours. I feel this proposal is jeopardizing their future.
