In a world where speed and progress overrule ethics, we are not surprised at this proposed conservation authorities amalgamation. It saddens us to see a government claim consideration for the environment while shipping off its local expertise to downtown board rooms. Conservation authorities in Ontario need more support, NOT restructure. "Shop local" but don't support the locals is all we hear and see from this proposition. Shame on everyone involved in making this poor decision. The land will show the consequences.
