I agree with Hamilton…

I agree with Hamilton Conservation Authority’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community. I do not believe one central Conservation Authority has the local knowledge required to for local governance. A merged Conservation Authority will only be accountable to the loudest voice and will be susceptible to external influences. In short, there are other, more effective and efficient ways to ensure standardization in practices.
