I am a concerned citizen who has heard about this proposed consolidation and I stand with my local Conservation Authority who sees these issues with the changes proposed.

lack of demonstrated need for restructuring;

risks to local governance and municipal accountability;

significant transition costs related to merging four independent conservation authorities;

impacts on staff capacity and service delivery across a region of nearly two million residents; and

potential increases in costs to municipalities without demonstrated benefit
