I do not support this proposal. Local voices matter, unlike what the current government believes. The current conservation authorities are working fine, and shortcoming come from the provincial government being cheap and refusing to give proper funding. Forcing authorities to combine will cost a lot of money (that the provincial government just expects to materialise), not save. Instead of creating more issues, how about we fund our services properly?

Stop trying to quash local authority and voices and do your job properly. A provincial government isn't a "super city" government. If the federal government started meddling with internal provincial affairs, you would freak out, so stop meddling with municipal and local issues, governments, and governmental authorities.

If I complain about a broken fence in the West Hamilton Mountain near a waterfall, will people in Ancaster see it and send a guy to fix it the same day? Or will someone in Niagara see it, ignore it as they're overwhelmed with the thousands of other complaints, then eventually pay a guy to drive hours to fix it? I don't see how this is improving spending or addressing local issues.
