I do not support the proposal to merge smaller conservation areas into larger ones. I stand with the submission of my local conservation area, the Hamilton Conservation Authority. I have seen firsthand the work they do, and I am proud to be living in the HCA catchment. It is essential that the conservation authorities are accountable to the area people live in. It is essential that they are able to interact with local people for decision-making and for volunteers.
