I reside within the boundaries of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority. Their expertise and oversight is of immense value to those of us living in sensitive areas. While not always agreeing with their proposals, we have always had the ability to deal directly with their members and staff to resolve issues. Your current proposal will destroy that ability and will slow down and complicate the approvals process. It is quite apparent that the goal is to eliminate local control over issues that impact our environment. We live here and we want decisions to be made locally, not in Toronto.
