I have some concern about whether amalgamating conservation authorities is in fact a good idea. Talk of efficiency is fine, but Ontario is a large province and conservation authorities deal with local issues, which I think may be better dealt with locally.

I note that this website lays out some specific questions on which you are seeking comment, and that the question of whether amalgamation is a good idea is not among those questions. To me this is yet another case of government making a show of asking for comment on the details of a proposal while making it apparent that the public's opinion on the basic idea of the proposal isn't welcome.
