I am opposed to the recommendation to amalgamate the Conservation Authorities. Our local one has been extremely efficient and effective for decades. It is deeply committed to protecting our local environment.
It appears that the current government is attempting to muzzle them by reducing their voice and their. counsel. This would allow rich developers to disregard local and environmental concerns by giving their power to people far removed from here. Possibly government picked too.
I would no longer support this government if they proceed with this .
