I am a concerned citizen who experienced flooding in my backyard in the summer of 2024, as my property borders a creek in Mississauga that flooded during heavy summer rains. Credit Valley Conservation had been very responsive to my questions about creating a rain garden, among other concerns. Please consider that any restructuring must preserve municipal decision-making, protect conservation lands and public greenspace, fully fund transition costs, and maintain uninterrupted delivery of critical watershed services. Please maintain municipal-level decision making.
