Please do not move forward with amalgamation. More research is necessary to determine if the goal of improving "front line delivery of services " is rendered impossible by eliminating participation of local people, the holders of historical context which is necessary for board room decision making. Does the flow of watershed not change? Yes it does, and locals know about these changes before anyone else. Without local information big picture perspective is impossible.
Conservation Authorities have been in place all these years doing a fantastic job. They accomplished the goals of their inception and maintained the parks and natural habitats for almost 100 years that have made Canada famous.
