Hello

I am fully in support of the standardization approach across conservation authority areas and have been very concerned with the both the lack of consistency by jurisdictions and the lack of accurate hazard lands mapping. Technology currently available does have the ability to resolve this challenge.

I have concerns with how governance and operations of the permitting approach over such large areas would be appropriately informed. A funding formula challenge would also require significant update.

I would like clarity of what will become of management of the land holdings of conservation authorities

The Thunder Bay site would benefit from remaining an independent site give its significant distance from the proposed amalgamation location.

Overall, setting clear, consistent provincial standards across all conservation authorities, and holding everyone accountable to them seems like the most important permitting approach and through a standardized digital portal.

Jurisdiction issues including clarifying responsibilities between conservation authority hazard land boundaries at lakes, and relative to the role of DFO and periodically flooded habitat. This lack of clarity has the greatest effect on the shore of Lake Ontario due to the much larger fluctuations in lake level that occur and the dramatic extent of water backfolding up river mouth areas.

For western Lake Ontario area, multiple confounding watershed boundary areas by municipalities also require cleanup, for which the current proposal resolves this current challange.

Thank you
