I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community. Also, based on amalgamations that have happed in the past, they are rarely cost-saving in the long run and instead only serve to distance people from discussions and decisions that affect them. I strongly disagree with the province’s intended direction on this matter. Conservation Authorities need to remain community based.
