Amalgamating 36 authorities…

Amalgamating 36 authorities into 7 or 8 does not make sense at all.
I am opposed to this proposed amalgamation on the grounds that the environment, on which we All rely on our very exitance, will be degraded further. How can it not be when the work load for those who are employed will likely be doubled, especially if positions are eliminated or at the very least employees will feel the pressures in other ways. We see this happening whenever their are amalgamations happening in other organizations.
How much further can you push the natural world aside for the sake of building Unaffordable housing, and for pleasing the the wealthy developers? One day the chickens will come home to roost, perhaps when there are more floods, forest fires and when the very water we drink will become undrinkable. Then perhaps we will all be impacted in ways that will affect even those who propose these absurd changes. Please reconsider this massive change.
