I have a lot of concerns…

I have a lot of concerns about this proposal. As an environment and geography teacher, I closely deal with two different conservation authorities frequently. These conservation authorities offer amazing hands on learning and educational opportunities, geared specifically to the needs within the local watershed. I do not feel that the same level of understanding, and the close work that these CAs do with local governments and school boards will be accomplished to the same level if this amalgamation were to happen. I feel that this is being done to save money, and not actually in how to best protect and educate about the watersheds, and I feel that the negative effects will be seen through decreased services and perhaps the loss of biodiversity in Ontario. I do not support the amalgamation of Conservation Authorities in Ontario.
