Energy Storage Canada (ESC) appreciates the opportunity to provide comments on the Ministry of Natural Resources’ proposed changes to the Renewable Energy on Crown Land policy, as posted to the Environmental Registry of Ontario.
ESC offers general support for the proposed policy changes and welcomes the Government of Ontario’s continued recognition that public lands have an important role to play in supporting energy development and related infrastructure. The policy sends a positive signal that Crown lands can and should be leveraged, where appropriate, to advance provincial electricity system objectives.
