The reports and studies provided by, and carried out by MECP, do NOT provide a full environmental study to enable an adequate amount of information to ensure proper and true data to base a decision on.
The fact that the levels of phosphorus, in MECP's very own studies, are already at or above the allowable provincial regulations is in itself already a hard stop on moving the proposal forward.
The fact that the volume of water being drawn from the river for snow-making purposes by the resort is NOT a factor in the viability equation is a hard stop on moving the proposal forward.
When the resort itself has already shown that it is not aware of a significant water leak, has shown it cannot keep up with regular day-to-day maintenance of its existing equipment, and then the public is supposed to go along with and believe this project will be monitored properly and adequately, by way of 'because it says it will'. NO, they will not. A "Sorry for what happened" after the fact, is in no way acceptable.
The fact that MECP, an environmental organization whose function is to protect Environment, Conservation, and Parks, is misleading the public, and is the regulatory body responsible for leading this project - when it's common sense and 'Ecology 101' that this project has FAR TOO MANY variables leading to a main water tributaries demise is actually, and factually, disgusting.
