As a resident who lives on the Goulais River downstream of Searchmont Resort, I am concerned about whether the Assimilative Capacity Study adequately considered the existing Permit to Take Water. Reference ERO Posting: 019‑6965.
If the ACS utilized data either upstream or not accounting for the maximum allowable litres which Searchmont is allowed to remove based on their permit, it is flawed and must be redone to factor in the accurate downstream data and impact on whether the effluent can be safely and reliably assimilated.
