I am writing due to the deep concerns that I have for the proposed inadequate water treatment system that the Searchmont Ski Hill is trying to build. I have lived in the beautiful community of Goulais River for the last 10 years. I believe that this inadequate system puts our beautiful community at risk both health wise and environmentally. An American for profit business should not be allowed to come into Canada and destroy our community. They should not be able to pump human waste and sewage into our Goulais River. It will affect the animals that we have in our community as well as the residents. Searchmont Ski Hill already uses unsafe and harmful chemicals in their snow making for the ski hill. They take water from the Goulais River to make their snow for the ski hills. Which also should not be happening. This American company should not be allowed to do all of this damage all in the name of greed and money. Allowing this company to cause many hazards to both the wildlife and people who call this beautiful place home.
