The proposal for the Wate Water Treatment Plant is a bad idea. Not only will this affect the water quality of the river water but affect so many other factors as human health, health of other animals water and land.

There are 0 Waste Water Treatment Plants on Goulais River and should stay at 0. The river is not a constant level river every year. The river can go up 50 feet in spring and fall, washes out banks and trees every year. During summer the water can be so low during the hot dry days of summer.

The levels of phosphorus taken for samples exceed the limit of provincial water quality, fecal spikes occured multiple times, winter oxygen levels were not properly measured which this winter is most important for fish for oxygen, all this is without the contaminants of a Waste Water Treatment Plant is scary as it is. There were only 20 samples taken in a 16 month span. A study this big so be studied for a much longer period of time.

The contaminants from a Waste Water Treatment Plant would change the oxygen of the water, change in nutrient concentration, pathogens and disease vectors, changes of water temperature, disruption in migration patterns, changes in contaminants concentrations.

Has there been a study on the species that would be at risk from the impact? Has there been a study on the environmental impact how the people would be affected that would live so close to the area and how the people would be affected by their water who use Goulais River as their everyday water source from a well. Has there been a study on what would happen with the Waste Water Treatment Plant when the river floods or dries up. Has there been a study for another option that is more environmental to humans and animals.

This proposal should be postponed and have more research done. If we are able to comment to voice a concern there should be a concern on why need need to comment.

Please consider not approving this proposal as there is not enough information for environmental impact and species at risk. The environment, people and animals are more important than a business trying to expand.
