I have lived in Goulais my entire life. The river is used for all types of recreational activities all year long. It is home to many different people, animals and other species. Changing the ecosystem will affect all of this.
If the “effluent” is safe to be sent from one of the highest points of what use to be one of the longest rivers in the shortest distance, then I don’t see why that “effluent” can’t be stored in tanks and used to make the snow that is made from November till end of season.
We are several small communities along that river and having a resort that is barely affordable for many people in those communities to enjoy, having the run off ruin our home seems unjust, unfair and down right wrong.
I am raising my small family in Goulais and do not want anything to change the little piece of heaven I call home.
