I am a waterfront property…

I am a waterfront property owner on Lake Scugog. Last year we had usually low water levels in the spring and were deeply concerned how this affected wildlife in the lake and it's wetlands especially frog, turtle and fish populations which have declinind year over year.

Additionally water levels were unusually low last August and throughout the fall. The effects of climate change last year may now be the norm or even become more severe in the future. Low water levels impacted boating, docking, launch ramps, and marine railroads. Boaters unaware of submerged rocks were at greater risk of impact.

A Golf Course already removes water from the lake for irritation. I don't support further removal of water from the Scugog watershed for financial gain by a numbered company. Please decline the permit or remove any reference to Lake Scugog and it's watershed.
