We are very encouraged by these changes, but we want to ensure the changes also include the removal of the requirement for signing of applications by a Commissioner of Oaths ("an affidavit or sworn declaration"). Note that virtual/digital commissioning is NOT an appropriate solution, and will continue to add administrative burden on municipalities, AND on members of the public. This will greatly support our efforts to modernize and find efficiencies in the planning approvals process.
