Commentaire
The Township of Melancthon is pleased to submit our commenting letter pertaining to ERO 026-0260. At a high-level the key points raised in the letter include the following:
- The Township of Melancthon is strongly supportive of the proposed changes to the Regulation 826 under the Niagara Escarpment Planning and Development Act.
- Greater clarification is requested regarding the transition phase between when the Area of Development Control is removed and when municipal land use policy updates are to be required.
- Greater clarification is requested regarding applications that have currently been submitted due to their presence in the Area of Development Permit Control.
It is our belief that the comments provided in that letter will assist the Ministry of Natural Resources in refining the proposed changes being made as part of this ERO posting.
