Green infrastructure? Does this include trees? Will the provincial government include trees as infrastructure. If the Ontario Government does include trees as infrastructure than Tree bylaws and care and maintenance will become easier to manage and we will not have to fight to keep trees within our urban zones. It will make developments plant proper species, properly plant trees for long term survival, add proper soils to developments so that future growth of trees are guaranteed and that trees will grow within new developments. We are currently dealing with trees as an afterthought. They are not planted properly, trees have no soil to grow in, survival rates are virtually non-existent. If trees are looked at as important infrastructure in communities then there will be more stringent rules on the care and maintenance and planting of trees. Trees provide huge cost savings and positive health affects to a community. They have to be connected to Green infrastructure regulations. Hope tree will be included, Municipal, Certified Arborist
