In England, in the 1960s, we marched, 250,000 of us, to stop the testing of nuclear weapons in the atmosphere. 2,000 children developed blood cancers every year as a direct result of the increased radiation reaching England.

Now we're faced with another, much more serious nuclear threat.

- Out nuclear power plants are old and unreliable.

- They are near heavily populated areas.

- They are wide open to terrorist attacks and damage that would cause a nuclear disaster and kill and injure millions. - Where are we putting our spent radium? The Maritimes are full of sunken containers that are erroding at a great rate.

IT'S TIME TO THINK OF OTHER, BETTER WAYS TO GET OUR ELECTRICITY. LET'S MOVE WITH THE TIMES AND START SPENDING MONEY ON WAVE POWER, SOLAR POWER AND WIND POWER.

Stop going backwards. There's a good way forwards and it doesn't have to include nuclear power.

PS Never trust a politician who cannot prounounce "NU-CLEAR" If they say "NU-Q-LAR" they have no powers of observation, do not persue correctness and do not deserve to be trying to lead us. (George Bush, Trump, Harper.....)
