This is a good idea, motorcycles are fast moving vehicles so they won't be in the way. You will also save a few lives, next up Lane Splitting. Much research has been done on lane splitting, as a rider myself I automatically split lanes at a stop light to avoid any chance of a rear end accident. Lane splitting also helps with rush hour traffic, if you have bicycle lanes downtown Toronto why not set the trend for motorcycles too! Needless to say something must be done about the traffic and this is by far the easiest and most effective immediate response possible, also remember, most riders split lanes already so this would be easy to implement.
