The GTA currently has more construction cranes in the sky than any other metropolis in North America. I don't interpret this fact as consistent with developers being encumbered by the relatively recent changes to the approval process, in fact, I see it as quite the contrary -- it is proof that Ontario IS "open for business". The recent changes including the dissolution of the OMB have created an environment that allows a balance of developer and community needs. We need to maintain a liveable city, with development that is driven not by developers alone, but in balance with community needs. Do not reinstate the old process!
