I live in Mississauga within the Credit Valley watershed. I appreciate many of the "non-core" programs that are offered by the CVC, including many of the programs which strive to improve the natural environment and public outreach in the watershed.

In the GTA there is a very dense population compared to the rest of Ontario, which necessitates the need for public education and environmental protection. I also think that having robust environmental programs is justified in watersheds with these dense populations (e.g. TRCA, CVC, CH), because it's less of a burden on the individual tax payer to fund these great services!
