I believe it’s critically important that we protect the biodiversity of our region which includes protections for species at risk and endangered species. I understand the the economy requires growth which necessitates development but it cannot be at the cost of killing off entire species of animals and plants.

Funding for grass roots organizations that work hard to preserve and protect these organizations needs to be increased, if not from the government, then from the private sector in a way that is tied to development, and time must be provided in the process for SAR and ES needs to be met before the habitat is destroyed.

We cannot get back what we have lost. This damage is irreversible. Please prevent more species from going the way of the Dodo bird.
