The proposed cement plant is a serious threat to the health of our farming community and health of citizens. The output from the plant is known to increase rates of cancer and cause severe environmental damage. The ottawa river nearby has just been given heritage designation and has already suffered too many decades of pollution, our livelyhood depends on the environment, farms and the health of everyone in our communities . A cement plant that is a known serious polluter and cancer causing polluter is the worst choice for our town. Please help us find a better alternative for jobs, something that will not severely damage the environment and have terrible consequences for our health. Thank you .
