Please do not use bear bait traps for hunting. Please ban bear hunting and protect bear habitat. Moreover, it it absurd that you would encourage bears to move closer to humans by reducing the minimum distance for bear baits in public space with ERO 019-0022. You're harming humans and bears, encouraging hunters to kill bears and bringing guns and their stray bullets closer to families. What happened to common sense. We need safe spaces for both humans and bears. By decreasing the bait minimum, you're essentially drawing humans and bears in closer contact, which is a disaster itself. Moreover, you're now encouraging hunters and their stray bullets to intersect at this overlapping space. One simple nature walk could now end in disaster. Would you walk through that trail? Me neither.
