This is a horrible idea. If the cruelty of bear baiting and the spring hunt don’t concern you, the fact that the majority of voters in Ontario don’t hunt, should. This isn’t like the old days when it was acceptable to turn your back on animal abuse. I don’t have anything against hunting, if it’s done properly. Bear baiting is not hunting. If someone is injured because you change this policy, the government is will be liable and public opinion will definitely be against you.
