Niagara Region would like to thank the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) for the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes and amendments to the regulations regarding the management of excess soil and record of site conditions for brownfield redevelopment posted on the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO). Please accept this submission on behalf of Niagara Region, Public Works Department in response to the Excess Soil Regulatory Proposal and Record of Site Condition (Brownfields) Regulation (ERO No. 013-5000).
The attached documentation is a consolidation of the comments provided by the Transportation Services, Waste Management Services, and Water/Wastewater Services Divisions which comprise the Niagara Region, Public Works Department.
