I am writing in support of the Flag Resources (1985) Limited’s mineral exploration permit northeast of Lake Wahnapitae in Macklecan Township. I think that exploration should be permitted on valid mining leases and claims without delays, or unreasonable conditions, provided the obligations of the Mining Act are met. Denying applications without due process due to unfounded claims of harm to the environment would have a chilling effect on the mining exploration industry, and create a bad example for environmental activists to emulate elsewhere in the Province where exploration should be allowed.
