I am in full support of the Flag Resources (1985) Limited mineral exploration permit in Mackelcan Township. It is important that this permit is granted without any delays. Also, the permit must not have any unreasonable terms or conditions attached.

Prospecting and exploration must be allowed to continue on existing mining claims and leases in Forest Reserves provided the obligations of the Mining Act are met.

Recent, exploration in the area has uncovered previously unknown Offset Dykes and Sudbury Breccia related to the Sudbury Basin. Flag Resources will use an existing trail and previous drill sites to complete their exploration drilling. There will not be any impact to the old-growth red pine forest.
