Wolf lakes old growth forest should be protected and not open to mining activity. This land is home to one of the largest (and one of the last) old growth red pine forests in North America with trees ranging in age up to 350 years old. Mining in this area would kill this last remaining patch of unique old growth red pine as well as damage the fragile ecosystems within.
