I oppose this proposal. In a time of looming climate crisis we need to concentrate on green energy systems and hold of on creating new major mining operations until we either get the GHG emissions under control and at an acceptable level, or we have the ability to do it using environementally friendly technology.

The area in question contains some of the most robust forests in the Sudbury region and such areas are needed to aid us in our fight against climate change. It is impossible to replant and sustain the area quickly enough for a mining operation not to have adverse effects on our environment both locally, and worldwide.

As a Canadian I am already disgusted by our per captia GHG emissions, and I fully oppose any activity that has the potential to increase that further.
