I support the continued existence and authority of the OPAC . One "Director" is not capable of deciding which pesticides should be added to the cosmetic ban list. Industry supplied testing is not an acceptable standard for decision-making about environmental and health issues. Industry has a a vested and biased interest. PMRA guidelines use this information as their primary source.
All neonictinoid tracking should remain in place and the sale of these products be banned. The relaxation of these bans will put the sale of Ontario farm products in jeopardy as other jurisdictions use more appropriate scientific standards for determining the safety of products introduced into their markets.
