Indigenous communities have faced 174 water advisories as of May 2018 across Canada, some communities as for as long as 24 years (Council of Canadians, 2018). Allowing major corporations to profit off a resource that many do not have access to is an act of colonial violence. How dare we prioritize the profit off of water when indigenous communities do not have access. Pay attention.
If Canada seeks true reconciliation they would not allow this to happen.
