I fully support this moratorium on new and extended licenses to remove ground water for commercial gain.

Climate, agricultural and geographical studies all show that fresh water and our water aquifers are a crucial resource that will become precious and more valuable as we progress into the near and long term future of the province.

There is no good reason that I can think of to need or use bottled water beyond certain situations of necessity, and currently the market for bottled water far exceeds this basic necessity. Therefore it appears to me that any further exploitation of this resource in this way would be for the profit of a few at the expense of the many.
